Behavioral Assistant (BA) Opportunity
Introduction:
Our organization provides mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues.
The Behavioral Assistant (BA) will work under the supervision of a Licensed IIC Clinician. You will support the implementation of the Clinician’s treatment plan and work with clients and their family/caregivers to support in-home therapy goals to treat behavioral needs and improve the family/caregivers’ ability to provide effective support for the client’s successful functioning in the home and community. Behavioral assistants must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other providers on the youth’s team, as well as be active team members. The BA must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people in varied positions/agencies, and with children of all levels of functionality. Additionally, the BA must be willing to accept varied job assignments, including on-site and off-site training
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field is required to obtain certification as a BA in the State of NJ.
Minimum one year of experience working with children, youth, and families
Experience working with children diagnosed with behavioral-emotional disorders or children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a car.
